A brief introduction...
...into the differences between Standard- and HR/HD-foam.
HR/HD foams and Standard foam are both polyetherpolyol-based polyurethan foams and can be produced on the same type of foam-machine.
HR/HD need as raw matarial high active polyols, specific crosslinkers and have to be weakly stabilisized during production process. The cool down and mature time is longer than on standard foams. These are the chemical differences...
Density: The lowest possible density for HR/HD quality is roundabout 20 kg/m³. Standard-foams can be produced more lightweight. Our lowest density for Standard-foam is 16 kg/m³
Hardness: HR/HD-Foams can't be made too hard. Their specific quality is the comfort. Their SAG-Comfort-Index is in general nearly 3 (Standard Foam: roundabout 2).
Elasticity: HR stands for High-Resilience. That means a higher elasticity than on Standard-Foams. |
